We are Project Kalon, a student-led initiative that is passionate in helping the elderly. Currently, we organise volunteer sessions at various old folks homes and elderly care centres, with petanque being our main activity. Pentanque is a low-exertion ball game that allows the elderly to interact with the volunteers and one another. It allows them to exhibit some friendly competitiveness and some even discover a hidden talent! Through this meaningful project, we definitely have learnt a lot about interacting with our elders, and we are determined to do more in this area.
