The Doggy Wish served the pups at The Animal Rescue Foundation for our annual barksgiving event. The pups "gobbled" it all up. Thank you to all our generous donors.
The Doggy Wish made a donation to K9s for Warriors on Veterans Day.
October 22, 2024 was make a Dogs Day. In honor of Austin Stefano, #4Stin, The Doggy Wish paid the adoption fee to ensure a dog went home to a loving family.
We saw the need and had to pitch in...
Officer Jessica Moffo from Woodbridge Animal Shelter said "it takes a village."
The Doggy wish was part of that village after we heard the devastating news about the dogs that were seized and in poor condition. Your generous donations continue to make a difference to the dogs in our community who need us most. Thank you!

Pet Blanket and Towel Collection for Local Animal Shelters a Huge Success organized by State Representative Cara Pavalock -D’Amato This drive wouldn't have been so successful without the help from so many people, so I'd like to give my most sincere thanks and appreciation to The Doggy Wish organization.
These blankets and towels will go a long way in assisting the shelters that take such good care of our furry friends.

Meet lil Vern. The newest member of our growing Doggy Wish family! Vern was abandoned by her owner. She roamed the streets for months until a kindhearted lady, with no intentions of getting or having a dog took her in.
Vern was in desperate need of a good bath and a grooming appointment. Since she had a skin issue, she needed a special spa day with very knowledgeable groomers.
Vern did a great job despite the fact that she was there for many hours. The groomers did an excellent job of giving her breaks throughout the appointment to make her feel comfortable and relaxed.
She’s like a brand new little lady.
The vet seems to think Lil Vern is roughly 10 years old. She does have some other health concerns which her new mom will be addressing soon.
Funny thing is, Vern’s new mom can’t imagine life without her. As the saying goes . . . who rescued who?
We would love to take this opportunity to thank all of our paw-some donors for your continued love and support. These are the moments we live for. Thank you for helping us make a difference in the lives of our fur friends in need.
Much love. #thedoggywish
The Doggy Wish made a donation to this incredible foundation for Memorial Day. Thank you, once again, to our donors. Together we are making a difference.
A big Paws Up from Friends of Southington Animal Control, Inc. to the following community businesses and organizations for their generous holiday drives to benefit our furry friends at Southington Animal Control:
The Doggy Wish for all the food and treats!
With the help of all of you we are able to make a huge difference in the lives of pets while they are in the care of our animal control facility.
She is an 8 year old Goldendoodle, loves playing with dog friends, and tolerates the many pictures her mom takes of her rocking bandanas.
She hasn’t had a single medical issue until now.
She had a small growth near her eye about a year ago at her annual but it was nothing major so they said wait and see if anything changes.
Nothing did, it didn’t bother her.
This last month it suddenly increased in size, causing excessive tearing in that eye, periodic bleeding...and due to the size and placement something a regular veterinarian could not even contemplate on removing.
They recently went to an ophthalmologist since the vet told them it needed to be removed asap.
While there, they gave a very thorough plan of action to remove it, as well as two other growths that were forming in her other eye.
Lily has pet insurance but it doesn’t cover everything.
The Doggy Wish was able to help with a small portion of the bill.
Another wish granted! The Doggy Wish made a visit to the Animal Rescue Foundation in Terryville, CT and treated the pups to homemade shepherd's pie! They licked their bowls clean and their bellies were full!
The Doggy Wish would like to thank all of our veterans for their bravery and dedication to the freedom of our country. We cannot thank you enough for your sacrifices and the example you set for all of us. Happy Veterans Day!

We were recently contacted by Mr. Lopez requesting a wish for his little guy Thomas. In early September Thomas was hit by a car and taken to an emergency vet. Sadly there was nothing the vet could do to save little Thomas. His dad had been making payments to the vet, however, he was really struggling financially and his payments would not be complete for quite some time. He desperately wanted to bring Thomas’ remains home, but could not do so, until his final payment was made. His wish was granted and The Doggy Wish was able to pay the remaining balance allowing Mr. Lopez to bring his love home.
Thomas was a 9 year old Chihuahua. He loved long walks and going for car rides. He loved to play with his favorite toy, a green little turtle and enjoyed his baths.
The Doggy Wish is so incredibly sorry for your loss of sweet little Thomas.
We wish we met under different circumstances, but we are so happy that you are reunited with your baby Thomas.
A huge thank you to our selfless donors for making a difference. You truly have no idea how much we appreciate you. It is only because of you, that our dreams of helping the underdog is possible.
Much love!

Meet sweet, 3 year old Noble. Noble is now an official member of our Doggy Wish fam! We were thrilled to have the opportunity to grant a wish for this little guy.
Noble got very sick early in May. His parents took him to the vet to have him checked out. He was running a fever, but his labs came back normal. He was put on antibiotics, but within a week, his hind end gave out, extremely lethargic, and not doing well. His parents reached out to us looking for a wish to be granted. They were struggling with the existing vet bills and really wanted to bring Noble back to the vet for further testing and to finalize his treatment plan. We were so happy to grant this wish for our new friend Noble. We are happy to report that Noble is on the mend. We will keep you all posted with sweet Noble’s progress.

Perfect day to grant a wish!!
The Doggy Wish was able to fill our local pet pantry this afternoon. It is chock full of goodies for your pups. Once again, thank you to all of our incredible donors who make all of these wishes possible. The pet pantry is located outside of The Pet Spa on Riverside Avenue in Bristol.
POPE
Meet our new friend Pope. Pope is an adorable 11 year old Chiweenie. In December, his mom noticed he wasn’t acting himself, he was coughing and having trouble breathing. Mom took him to the vet where they ran tests, bloodwork & X-rays. Turns out, he did require antibiotics. Other than that he was just fine. Unfortunately, that left his mom with a rather large vet bill. Pope’s mom reached out to us and we were able to help her with a small portion of her vet bill. We are happy to announce that Pope is doing great and back to feeling himself again.
Believe in the "Magic" #12
The Doggy Wish visited the Terryville, Animal Rescue Foundation to feed 11 dogs that are housed at that shelter. Often times, dogs in shelters are forgotten so we wanted to give them a treat. We provided the dogs with a special homemade version of "doggie shepards pie." It was a hit!
Santa also bought blankies for the dogs to keep warm for the winter months.
We are so blessed to have so many generous donors to help us serve our mission! Happy Paw-lidays!

Tis the Season for Good Reason! #11
Since inflation increased costs in our grocery stores we understand the impact it has had on our community to not only feed their families but also their pets.
We stocked the Pet Food Pantry with much needed supplies. Many pet owners in the area benefited greatly.
We couldn't have done this without the financial support our donors have provided us. Every little bit counts! We are the Doggy Wish, granting wishes is what we do!

Happy "Barksgiving"! The Doggy Wish visited the Terryville, Animal Rescue Foundation to feed 14 dogs that are housed at that shelter. Often times, dogs in shelters are forgotten so we wanted to give them a treat. We provided all dogs with turkey, potatoes, carrots and special pumpkin pie. It was a hit! At one point the shelter was silent, only because 14 dogs were happily eating their special meal.
We are so blessed to have so many generous donors to help us serve our mission! Happy Thanksgiving!

Hurricane Ian had devastating damage to the Fort Myers area, Florida. We found out that many dogs were displaced and the place they called home for pet services was severly damaged. We are thankful for all our colleagues who paricipated in a dress down day to provide funding to the Animal Care Trust Fund, Fort Myers.
We are so grateful!

The Doggy Wish, Inc. made wish three come true.
We couldn't have done this without the financial support our donors have provided us. Every little bit counts! We granted Custer help with a vet bill expense.
Custer was diagnosed with Citrucel melanoma cancer of his tongue this June. He had surgery and is in recovery, however he has been prescribed monthly medications. We are glad to help with this costly expense so Custer can live a happy, healthier life.
