Suicide continues to be the leading cause of death for men under the age of 50 and one of the biggest causes of death in adolescents. These figures rise disproportionately amongst ethnic minority communities and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
For a person suffering from thoughts of suicide, the power of being truly witnessed in their suffering can, quite literally, be the difference between life and death.
And the chance to heal in a tranquil setting in nature, living in right relationship with the land and beings about them, can set a person on a lifelong path of recovery.
The healing of the land and the purification of the human sprit is the same process

Goodwill Lodge is an incredibly special project; a self-sustaining nature sanctuary for those suffering with suicidal thoughts and bereavement from suicide. We will provide non-medical therapeutic support, befriending and a lifelong network of peers connected in shared purpose. This is offered in a peaceful location of outstanding natural beauty.
We have the rare opportunity to acquire a farm with 10 acres of land in a rural South Devon location. This will be at the heart of the project; a biodynamic, regenerative farm where guests can spend time in a community that consists of peers and support staff.
In keeping with our strong environmental commitment, the project will be as carbon-neutral as possible. Goodwill Lodge will run on renewable energy and our residents will be encouraged to use public transport when coming from further afield. Our own vehicles will run on electricity and the farm itself will use biodynamic methods.
In this way, both residents and staff can live in a reciprocally beneficial and healing relationship with nature.
The project's ultimate aim is to raise £3 million in stages, with the initial target of £1.5 million to purchase the farm.
Stage 1: Acquiring the property.
Stage 2: Renovating the property to provide accommodation for guests and staff.
Stage 3: Extending the farm building and adding additional features to support residents holistically.
