The Academy of Goal Achievers is a youth mentorship program founded in West Charlotte by Courtnie Coble, founder and CEO. Our first program session took place on Saturday, October 17, 2015, with a group of 15 students. Since then, we have grown to serve Mecklenburg, Union, and Anson Counties and serve over 800 students annually.
These are the three key pillars of our program and what we follow to best serve our students and families:
- To and Through: Our students stand on the threshold. They can accomplish an amazing future for themselves, but only if we open the door and help them through.
- All Pathways Matter: Each student is different and has their own unique pathway to achievement, whether it be college, straight to a career, or entrepreneurship. We create pathways through partnership, joining an array of people and organizations as diverse as the people we serve.
- Multi-generational: Our students demonstrate enormous potential but can't do it alone. We involve parents, family, and everyone who touches their lives across the generations because we all have a stake in helping them achieve success together.
A major gift donor is any donor who gives $1,000 or more. Major donors are going big with The Academy of Goal Achievers. A donation of this size allows our team to provide quality experiences for our students, giving them the exposure and experience they need to succeed.
We also offer sponsorship packages for donors who want to be deeply involved with our program and highlighted during our Decade of Impact Celebration. Contact Aneesa Abdul-Rahim at aabdul-rahim@taogainc.org for additional details on our sponsorship levels.
As we approach a Decade of Impact, we need your support. Your donation will help us turn dreams into realities and create a better future for our students.
We're asking community individuals and families to help us secure $150,000 annually in honor of a decade of impact in the community and we prepare for another decade of impact and growth. Your support helps us continue our college and career readiness activities, exposing our students to the opportunities available to them post-graduation.
As a member of the Circle of Friends, you enable our organization to continue receiving funding, allowing us to maintain our impact on families and plan for the future.
