This July, Rory McKeown of Global Aerospace is taking the plunge (quite literally!) in abseiling 289 feet down one of London's most recognizable buildings in support of Airlink.
As part of Lloyd's of London Foundation and The Lady Mayor's Abseil Challenge 2026, Rory has chosen to raise funds for Airlink: a global humanitarian aviation organization that keeps emergency responders moving when it matters most.
About Airlink
When disaster strikes, the first challenge is often the most basic: how do you get there? Airlink exists to solve that problem, providing humanitarian organizations around the globe with transportation and logistics solutions to move expert responders and critical cargo quickly, efficiently, and at no cost to the NGOs we serve.
Since our founding, Airlink has mobilized responses to some of the world's most pressing crises -- from earthquakes and hurricanes to disease outbreaks and conflict displacement. We work with over 50 aviation partners and support a network of 250+ humanitarian partners working across 130 countries, moving over 15,000 relief workers and 8,100+ metric tons of essential supplies to where they're needed most.
Why it Matters
In a humanitarian response, speed saves lives. When an earthquake devastates a community, or an outbreak spreads through an under-resourced region, the window for effective intervention is narrow. Aviation often the only way in, and Airlink ensures the right people and supplies can get there without the cost of transportation becoming a barrier.
