New Voters has been mobilizing high schoolers to run nonpartisan voter registration drives for over 8 years. With over 1,000 drives run across 42 states thus far, we strive to create a more informed, active, and participatory society by registering young voters. This Giving Tuesday, our goal is to expand our reach and provide more students across the country with the opportunity to register to vote before they graduate high school.
Key Offerings
- Personal Mentorship: Each of our drive leaders is paired with a near-peer college mentor who walks them through nonpartisanship training, educates them on their state voter registration laws, and helps them plan and execute a drive that fits the unique needs of their community.
- Leadership Development: Drive leaders learn by doing - forming a team of their peers and mobilizing them to reach at least 85% of the eligible voters in their school.
- Individual Recognition: Past drive leaders have been recognized by both their city and state governments for their leadership. New Voters also offers standout students the opportunity to join exclusive events, such as a planning meeting with the Aspen Institute or a youth-focused round table at The White House.
