The Thoracic Surgery Medical Student Association (TSMA) is a national organization established in 2020 to recruit, engage, and prepare passionate medical students interested in cardiothoracic surgery careers. We aim to increase early exposure to the field, provide educational tools, offer networking opportunities, and create a community of peer mentorship and collaboration among students across the nation. Founded by students with the guidance of our faculty advisors and support of the TSDA and TSRA, we are eager to further facilitate the engagement of medical students into the cardiothoracic community and supplement the medical school experiences of future cardiothoracic surgeons.
Help us reach our fundraising goal and join us in advancing CT surgery opportunities for medical students! Your contribution will go directly towards supporting our educational initiatives - including expert panels, research competitions, live skills sessions at national meetings, and more. Should you wish to contribute for a particular initiative, or to create a new one, please reach out to our Treasurer (Benjamin Shou, [email protected]).
