Giving Tuesday: Flowing With Compassion

Flowing With Compassion:

For Women By Women, Period. was founded by Carrington Baker, and her amazing group of college friends, who were passionate about ending period poverty. The group was intended to be a small project consisting of young college students helping their communities but flourished into a non-profit organization. As we grew, we have partnered with the NYC Food Bank, Camp Friendship, South Queens Women’s March, and numerous mutual aid groups in New York City. Along with tackling the period poverty disparity, our team is also focusing on menstrual and reproductive health education. In the future, we are striving to assist all menstruators and equip them with the necessary tools and information they need during their menstrual cycles.

The Impact:

~ For Women By Women, Period. has distributed a little over 200,000 products to various organizations in New York City. via our distribution network.

~ In 2022, the first youth program was established at Pittsford Mendon High School in Rochester, NY, and since then FWBW. has started two additional youth programs in the Bronx and Queens, NY. The young programs are assisting us in their communities by running product drives and donating the collected items to local organizations in their hometown.

Your Impact:

Join us this Giving Tuesday, to help us continue the fight against period poverty. You have the power to be a hero for individuals who do not have access to essential menstrual hygiene products. Your contribution will allow us to continue purchasing products for distribution, enhancing the youth program, and educating the community about period disparities. Together, we can fight period poverty one cycle at a time!
