This year, on Giving Tuesday, we’re inviting you to be part of something bigger than anything we ever dreamed—our vision to create a national senior dog rescue network that gives aging and medically fragile dogs the second chance they deserve.
What began humbly in Indiana has now grown into a multi-state lifeline. Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue is now rescuing seniors from Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Southwest Florida, saving dogs who have been abandoned, surrendered, or overlooked because of age or medical needs.
And now, we’re stepping boldly into a new chapter.
✨ We are officially partnered with Southwest Airlines through their SWATT flight crew program.
Thanks to this incredible partnership, senior dogs are now being transported by air directly to safety—arriving at our new rescue center on beautiful acreage in Venice, Florida, where they will be medically stabilized, emotionally supported, and prepared for adoption into their forever homes.
✨ Construction of our Florida rescue center is already underway.
Our Director and her husband have generously committed two-thirds of their barn to become a dedicated rescue and rehabilitation facility. The build-out is in motion, and this space will soon include:
🐾 A hospice housing area for seniors in our care-giving program
🐾 A “sick bay” for dogs needing isolation and recovery from illness or injury
🐾 A space for canine physical therapy to help seniors regain mobility and comfort
🐾 A dedicated training room where our trainer can work with seniors needing behavioral rehabilitation
🐾 A dog wash station for grooming, comfort, and medical bathing
🐾 Storage space for food, medical supplies, and equipment essential for rescue operations
Alongside this, the center will feature an indoor, private-membership dog park—a safe, climate-controlled space for local dogs to play year-round. And the best part?
100% of the proceeds from this dog park will directly fund veterinary care and needs for the senior dogs in our rescue.
Your support is the reason we’ve made it this far. You’ve carried us through emergency intakes, urgent medical cases, hurricane evacuations, and every story of a senior dog who simply needed someone to show up for them.
As we close another year of lifesaving work, we humbly ask for your Giving Tuesday and end-of-year donation.
Your generosity today fuels rescue flights, veterinary care, hospice support, daily necessities, and the continued development of our Florida rescue center.
Every senior dog we save is because someone like you said, “Yes, I want to help.”
Thank you for believing in this mission, for standing beside us, and for helping build a brighter, kinder future for senior dogs across the nation.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Silver Snout Senior Dog Rescue
