Rainbow Youth Project USA Foundation, an all-volunteer managed and operated 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to promoting the health, safety, and wellbeing of 2SLGBTQ+ young people under the age of 19 nationwide.
Our core programs:
MENTAL HEALTH - Rainbow Youth Project offers meaningful access to free crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and mental health counseling services, including a 24/7/365 resource call and text line, to LGBTQIA+ young people under the age of 19 nationwide.
HOUSING INSTABILITY - Rainbow Youth Project offers assistance with transitional housing, medical care, mental health services, living skills, educational and vocational opportunities, and peer group support to any LGBTQIA+ young person under the age of 19 who is struggling with homelessness.
LEGAL REPRESENTATION - Rainbow Youth Project provides free legal representation to LGBTQIA+ young people and adults in a wide variety of matters. Recently, we assisted the California Attorney General in obtaining a preliminary injunction against the Chino Valley Unified School District halting its forced outing policy regarding trans and nonbinary students.
EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE -
Rainbow Youth Project provides free, indefinite, grief counseling services to families who have lost a 2SLGBTQ+ child to suicide or another violent act. Also, during such tragedies, if the family has a demonstrated hardship and cannot afford the unexpected costs of a memorial service, burial plot, and/or headstone, we consume those costs to ensure the child is provided with a proper service.

Rainbow Youth Project strives to empower and uplift the voices of LGBTQIA+ young people through various platforms, programs, and legislative initiatives while educating the general public to effectuate positive change and a more inclusive world for everyone.
