Thank you for keeping the public informed on current situations in education.
I am the mother of a child who required a 504. I was impressed with the attention and care she received at school. She was born with a fairly serious disability, but she was so positive and love her school experience. She is now nearly 35 and received a college Bachelor’s degree from UVU. She was employed at UVU for several years and was the Director of the call center there for 10 years, but employed there just under 20. Her disability was treated with respect mostly, but she carried on leaving behind a very positive legacy there. I’m so proud of her success and ABILITIES despite her challenges and disability. We live in a state that highlights education and helping children succeed. I find it hard to believe our leaders want to take this away from our children who did not choose to have disabilities and further put a “scarlet Letter” on their unique needs!
