In Tanzania, many women, especially single mothers, carry the full responsibility of providing for their families with very limited opportunities. Without access to skills training, materials, or a safe place to work, earning a stable income can feel impossible.
Twiga Vision Tanzania, a local NGO based in Arusha, works alongside women in vulnerable situations to help them build practical skills, confidence, and sustainable livelihoods.
However, Twiga Vision is currently at a critical rebuilding stage.
After losing our main donor in 2022, we faced a major funding gap. As a result, our women’s programmes had to pause, and the community centre that once offered a safe space for learning, work, and connection is now at risk. To reopen the programmes and provide ongoing support for the women who rely on us, we urgently need funding.
🧵 Skills That Create Independence
Through our women’s programme, participants learn how to sew and create handcrafted products that can be sold to support themselves and their families. Alongside practical skills, women also take part in life-skills training.
This is not short-term aid. It is about:

Learning about health & wellbeing and women's rights
Learning basic English
Gaining confidence and independence
Creating a more secure future for their children
