I grew up skateboarding in East Los Angeles in the late 90s, skateboarding was dead. It felt like Uganda. Growing up poor no skate parks, skate shops, there weren't shoes, or boards easily available, all hand-me downs. But the love and passion for skating became a way of life, no pop boards and all. Even now at 39 I owe my character to skating. Much love to Uganda Skateboard Society, it hits a heart chord for me!❤
