U21 Uganda Men's Lacrosse

Less than one month to go! Help us meet our goal! Every donation counts as we make our final push to get Uganda to the U21 World Championships in Ireland. Your donation will make a dream come true by providing the opportunity for these promising, young players to represent their country for the first time on the world stage.

The Uganda Men's U21 National Team is seeking donations to fund their trip to Limerick, Ireland August 10-20, 2022 to compete in the U21 World Championship!

Origins Leadership (OL) is dedicated to growing the game locally and globally and positively impacting the lives of young people and their communities. In 2022, OL became the fiscal sponsor for the Uganda U21 Men's National Team undertaking the Uganda Lacrosse Associations' (ULA) effort to send the first-ever U21 Men's National Team to the World Lacrosse World Championship in Limerick, Ireland in August 2022.

Uganda Lacrosse competed in two previous World Championship events; debuting in 2014 in Denver, Colorado, and in 2018 in Israel, which helped to fuel nationwide growth.

The U21 World Championship will:

1) Provide a once in a lifetime experience for Uganda’s rising leaders

2) Support the growth and expansion of lacrosse in Uganda

3) Strengthen the National Team program for the next generation of athletes

Most players in Uganda lack the resources to compete outside of Uganda. Donations will help cover the costs of flights, accommodations, meals, equipment, and other expenses related to participating in the U21 World Championships.

Origins Leadership is a 501(c)3, a non-profit organization. Each supporter will receive a tax-deductible receipt for their donation.

In the event that the team is not able to travel to the U21 World Championships for any reason, all donated funds will be used to support the Uganda senior men's national team which will be seeking to qualify for the world championships in San Diego in 2023.
