In 2016, a 20-year-old named Kalungi Robert rented a room from an elderly woman in Nakaseke, Uganda, and took in six orphaned children, trusting God to provide what he could not. Nine years later, Shining Hope for the Vulnerable is home to 21 children, feeds 50+ neighborhood kids a daily lunch, and is putting 24 children through school.
None of that happened because Kalungi had money. It happened because God moved people to show up for these children again and again — term by term, meal by meal, need by need.
This time, we're asking for something different. Instead of raising what we need month to month, we believe God is calling us to invest once in something that keeps giving: capital for the land business that already supports our home, so its profits — not just our next appeal — can help carry the children's food, school fees, and medical care for years to come.
