Help the Apostolate for Marital Intimacy continue and expand its mission
The Apostolate for Marital Intimacy (AMI) exists to serve married couples and those discerning marriage by educating, forming, strengthening, and guiding them through faithful Catholic resources. We do this through courses, coaching, counseling, retreats, publications, and free moral and ethical consultations, always in full fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church.
AMI is a Missouri nonprofit organization recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) public charity. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Today, many Catholic marriages end in divorce. Many others endure decades marked by emotional distance, sexual confusion, or quiet loneliness. This is not a private problem. It is an ecclesial and societal one.
We all feel the consequences of weakened families. Vocations decline. Parishes struggle. The faithful shortage deepens. These crises do not begin in seminaries or chancery offices. They begin in the home. Faithful and fulfilling marriages form strong families, and strong families form the foundation of both the Church and society.
For decades, the Church has relied primarily on marriage preparation courses, occasional retreats, and isolated books to address these realities. While well intentioned, the status quo is not enough. Couples need ongoing formation, clear moral teaching, practical guidance, and trustworthy accompaniment across every stage of married life.
AMI proposes to meet that need.
A core part of our mission is providing free Catholic moral consultations for individuals and couples seeking clarity on Church teaching related to marriage, sexuality, and conscience formation. These consultations often serve those who feel confused, ashamed, or unsure where to turn. We believe no one should be turned away when they are sincerely seeking truth.
Beyond these consultations, our broader vision is to support individuals and couples from the first discernment of marriage through the many seasons of their relationship, offering formation that is intellectually sound, spiritually faithful, emotionally grounded, and honest about intimacy. We seek to alleviate shame, address confusion, and help couples live the fullness of God’s design for marriage.
