Free MMA is a free mixed martial arts gym that allows underprivileged youth, low-income adults, and seniors to take advantage of the self-discipline and self-defense offered by martial arts training. Jarred "Bear" Fiorda founded Free MMA to give financially insecure households the same opportunities his mother struggled so hard to provide for him. As an only child raised by a widowed single mother in Desert Hot Springs, California, Bear has seen firsthand the positive effects that martial arts can have on a community and the devastating effect its absence can have on its youth. Free MMA aims to make martial arts lessons attainable to all. Bear is a 2nd - degree black belt in Taekwondo, a mixed martial artist, an instructor of Taekwondo, jujitsu, and Hapkido, a competitive MMA cage fighter, and can be found on all social media platforms as @BearFiorda.
