V.O.T.U needs your help to raise $16,450 to feed 86 orphans.
Donate Today for our January Launch
From our recent visit at Lwamasaka primary school in June 2022, findings indicated that over 8 of 10 children survive on a single un balanced meal a day. Children are not sure of their next meal neither at school where they spend most of their active hours nor at home.
86 most vulnerable orphans where identified for support. 20 were infected with HIV while 35 lived in child-headed households and 31 with very old grandparents.
In addition to having insufficient meals with no attention to the nutritious values at home, the caretakers of these cannot pay for food at school. The kids are forced to attend classes on empty stomach with neither breakfast nor lunch during school hours.
Our organization (V.O.T.U) adopted Lwamasaka Primary School to feed these children on a daily balanced meal.
Your support will go towards feeding 86 children in Lwamasaka Primary school, creating a school garden and 3 community gardens to sustain the feeding program and assist HIV infected children to enjoy their right to live and study
With your donation we can:
- Provide free school meals for 86 orphans for 9 months
- Start the Lwamasaka school garden (supplies - seedlings and instruments for cultivating the land)
- Support the school and children impacted by HIV/AIDS.
- Facilitate preparation of balanced meals
- Provide agriculture supplies for the school garden and 3 community gardens to create household incomes for beneficiary homes
Thank you for your support towards this cause
