For sixteen years, The Forge has been an intergenerational STEAM community where youth and adults learn, build, and belong. What makes us special isn’t the tools, it’s the ecosystem of curiosity, confidence, and collaboration we create together.
The past few years have been incredibly hard. We lost our 12,000 sq ft facility during the pandemic, moved six times, and spent almost a year without a home. We met anywhere we could: senior centers, retirement communities, park shelters, even Dunkin’ Donuts.
Last fall, we finally secured a cozy 2,400 sq ft space with a three-year lease. It was warm and welcoming, but it was also the smallest space we’d been in since 2011.
This spring we had the chance to move into a larger space next door and double our capacity, but we can only finalize move with community support.

- Add in an ADA-compliant bathroom and bring the facilities up to code
- Expand programs and membership
- Provide stable space for youth and families
- Rebuild volunteer and staffing capabilities
- Create room for the next generation to thrive
