We are Jeremy and Claire from Queensland, Australia. Our move to Cambodia is the culmination of a 5-year plan that commenced in 2014 after we had lived in Vietnam for 12 months. On the flight home from Vietnam, we committed to returning to Southeast Asia as soon as we could, and the 5-year plan was born.
Needless to say, things have changed a bit since we arrived in December 2019. At that stage, there was no Covid and we had big plans to travel around Southeast Asia using Siem Reap as a base. We haven't left Cambodia since we arrived in 2019.
We spent the first 16 months living in Siem Reap, then we spent 6 months in Kampot.
In February 2021, we became monetised on YouTube and since then we have given every cent we earn back to Cambodia and its people. Spending time with the crew from Heartprint, living across the road from their community centre, seeing how they were helping the community, of course, they became one of our first choices.
