For this new supplement, we will create clear photos, vivid illustrations, and plain-language explanations to help genetic counselors walk patients through complex testing options—such as whole exome sequencing, whole genome sequencing, and somatic versus germline testing. This supplement is designed for real conversations in clinics, counseling sessions, and family decision-making moments—when clarity, trust, and understanding matter most.
This resource is being built with the community and for the community. By crowdsourcing its development, we’re helping genetic counselors better support patients—and empowering individuals and families to make informed decisions about their care based on a clearer understanding of their genetics.
