Since April 2020, we have served over 52,000 meals and fed nearly 15,000 families. Integral to the success of these efforts has been the collaboration of sister organizations, municipalities, and private sector partners that mutually respect each other’s standards and operational parameters to identifying and reaching those heavily impacted by COVID-19. Thanks to the generous support of partners like Good Food Works, the non-profit arm of Chef Linton Hopkin’s Eugene Kitchen, Latino Community Fund Georgia, The Common Market, Giving Kitchen, and volunteers from Los Vecinos De Buford Highway, the coalition started providing emergency food assistance, in response to the pandemic.
