Help us break the cycle of houselessness and provide an extended stay to a Hope Center household!

Thanks to the leadership of the State of Delaware through the pandemic, unhoused Delawareans were supported through long-term stays at hotels and motels including the Hope Center. What we have learned through the Hope Center journey is that households need at least 90 days to stabilize and secure housing.

As the State moves back to pre-pandemic support of 24 days to those who qualify (based on a $50 per night rate), Extend a Stay would provide those households a 66-day extension and give them time to utilize onsite:                 

• Housing stabilization case management and community navigation supports from Delaware Center for Homeless Veterans, Family Promise of Northern NCC and New Castle County
• Medical care offered by Christiana Care
• Mental health and substance abuse supports from the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health
• Workforce Development through Fair Chance, and....  Create a Pathway Home!
