Goal
Introduction: In Uganda, the impact of poverty-related diseases is devastating. Every day, statistics show that 22 children under 5 years old and 24% of women aged 15-49 lose their lives. Malnutrition plays a significant role in these tragic numbers. However, sustainable mushroom cultivation is emerging as a powerful solution.
Our Mission: Eco Agric Uganda is dedicated to empowering women through mushroom cultivation. By providing training, quality materials, and support, we aim to alleviate poverty, enhance food security, improve nutrition, and boost income levels.
Our Offer:
- Training in cost-effective mushroom growing techniques
- Distribution of mushroom blocks and spawn to women
- Utilization of locally available materials
- Collaboration with skilled professionals and international experts
- Channels for selling mushrooms include door-to-door, established points, radio, and social media
Target Audience: Women, youth, men, and children are all beneficiaries of our program. Our clients that buy our mushrooms include restaurants, individuals, schools, farmers, and NGOs.
Partnerships: We collaborate with government officials, NGOs, radio stations, donors, individuals like you, and agricultural input suppliers.
Sustainability Approach: Our project aims to support 500 vulnerable women with mushroom blocks, enabling them to earn a sustainable income. Each woman will receive 10 blocks weekly, generating profits that support their livelihoods. The revenue streams include events, sales, fundraising campaigns, and donations.
Campaign Message: By supporting us, you are investing in sustainable agriculture, economic empowerment, and community development. Together, we can transform challenges into opportunities for a greener, brighter future.
Call to Action: Your donation will directly impact 500 women, helping them generate income and improve their lives. Join us in promoting sustainable practices through mushroom cultivation and creating a better tomorrow for all.
Conclusion: Celebrate the impact of mushrooms on women's lives by supporting our initiative. Donate $50 to empower impoverished women in cultivating mushrooms, creating sustainable income for their families, and supporting the Second African Mushroom Festival.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to share with you information about Eco-Agric Uganda and the second Africa Rising Mushroom Festival.
Eco-Agric Uganda is an organisation helping poor and absolutely poor women and girls in rural Uganda. We offer education as well as training in agricultural practices including mushroom cultivation which has helped empower local women greatly since we launched in 2007. Our mission with Africa Rising is three-fold: firstly we aim to raise the profile of Ugandan and African mushroom cultivation to the global scene. Secondly the festival presents a fantastic opportunity to educate children and local communities on the subjects of mycology and mushroom cultivation. Finally, the festival is an excellent fundraising drive which helps us put girls through school, thus improving their chances in life incalculably.
If you would like to help make this festival a success, please see sponsor options attached and a full breakdown of the program bellow:-
