Meet Evi, a young woman from Lombok with a passion for ocean conservation.
Evi started diving in 2020 in Lombok, and fell in love with the underwater world. Soon enough she was participating in beach and reef clean-ups, and in 2022 she joined the Coral Catch program on Gili Air.
Here, she underwent an in-depth coral restoration program learning about different restoratory practices, deployment techniques and coral monitoring methodologies.
Evi is now determined to share her love for the ocean and its conservation more widely. In order to achieve this goal would need to gain her professional diving certification in order to be able to work in the scuba diving industry.
Evi hopes raise more awareness about ocean protection, as well as inspire other women to join her on her journey!
