BURKE ENERGY PRESENTS "RARE"- A Fundraiser for the Salla Treatment And Research Foundation (STAR)
STAR Foundation stands with the unwavering belief that no disease is too rare for viable treatment options. On Sunday, May 19th, Lewisboro Town Park will transform into an uplifting event, supporting STAR and our partnerships with childhood rare disease researchers at our beloved Children's Hospital at Montefiore, the Rose F. Kennedy Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and researchers around the world working on therapies for Salla Disease.
What can you expect at RARE? A day full of fun for the entire family, of course, rain or shine!
1. The Harlem Wizards- Basketball tricks and fun laughs are sure to delight fans of all ages! (Show starts at 5 p.m.)
2. Pony Party- Enjoy a pony ride AND be enchanted by miniature ponies who are coming to visit (In special thanks to Rising STARR horse rescue.)
3. Truck Tour- Take a close look at Firetrucks, Police Cars, Emergency Vehicles and Caterpillar Equipment!
4. Magic Show- Presented by the FAMOUS R.J. Lewis
5. T-Shirt Tie Dye
6. Fun Auctions
7. Wine and Beer Tastings for Parents (In special thanks to Captain Lawrence.)
8. Hot Dogs Included (In special thanks to our Lions Club.)
9. Face/Rock Paint- (In Special Thanks to Grace Community Church)
