We are an organisation dedicated to giving disadvantaged women the opportunity to pursue their dreams and ambitions in various marine industries. Women are underrepresented in these industry globally, and often their lack of opportunity is preceded by out-dated gender roles which limit their participation in these positions.
Our goal is to provide the means for women to follow their ambitions, receive education and training in their desired roles so that they too can contribute to science, education, tourism and decision making, and live a future where gender equality is a reality.
Funds raised facilitate education, marine ecology education, the acquisition of learning materials and diving equipment, provide food stipends, pay for tuitions and much more. To learn more, check out www.daughtersofthedeep.org
