Emu is running the Oxford Half Marathon

We're running the Oxford half marathon on October 17th to raise money for the Emu Music internship program. Emu offers internships to gifted Christian musicians to help explore their skills and interests in the leading of church music; in the writing of songs; and the training of others in Biblical music ministry. Some of the team have been interns for Emu and have personally benefited from the program, and we'd love to raise money so that these internships can continue to equip and train men and women. You can find out more about Emu's ministry at emumusic.com

Here's why Jonny, a previous intern and one of our runners, believes these internships are important: "Our churches need song leaders, musicians and song-writers with skill, conviction and godly character. The Emu Internship helps meet this need by cultivating men and women who will go out and serve the music ministries of local churches. It also prepares the ground, God willing, for new music ministry leaders to be raised up in the future."

Raising £6000 means that we can train up one intern over the course of a year. They'll participate in a local or online ministry training course, develop their particular gifts in music ministry and be equipped to train others as we lead workshops together. Your money will go towards living costs so that interns are freed up to spend the year serving and training in biblical music ministry. Please help us to reach our fundraising goal!
