Getting out of the poverty cycle when you have no money or education seems impossible, but with a 'hand-up' through the form of a small capital donation, change is possible.
Traditional forms of charity which are in the form of a 'hand out', create a 'welfare/poverty mentality'.
Here at BIG we encourage our Carers to boldy start a small business, and if that seems a little scary; start by learning to care for a goat or a few chickens; keeping some produce and selling the rest. Step by step becoming bolder and more confident through education and mentoring.
We invite you to help our Carers break out of the poverty cycle by giving a 'hand-up'.
