MAANYI Community Development Centre is empowering rural communities in Uganda through three interconnected programs: Sustainable Agriculture,Vocational & Life skills training and Community Engagement.We work closely with women, youth and vulnerable families to create practical opportunities for self-reliance, income generation, and long-term community resilience.
Through our Sustainable Agriculture Program, communities receive hands-on training in climate-smart farming, school and household gardening, regenerative agriculture, mushroom cultivation, and food security practices that improve nutrition while protecting the environment. These initiatives help families grow food sustainably, reduce hunger, and build resilience against climate and economic challenges.
Our Vocational & Life Skills Training Program equips individuals with practical, income-generating skills such as tailoring, eco-briquette production, carpentry, knitting, and other green livelihood skills. The training is community-based, hands-on, and designed to provide immediate pathways toward employment, entrepreneurship, and financial independence.
Through our Community Engagement Program, we create safe and inclusive spaces where communities can learn, collaborate, and grow together. We support awareness activities, youth engagement, mentorship, school-based initiatives, environmental action, and local partnerships that strengthen social wellbeing and community participation.
This fundraiser supports the growth and sustainability of all three programs. Donations help us provide training materials, tools, seeds, equipment, mentorship, demonstration spaces, and outreach activities for the people who need them most. Every contribution directly helps create opportunities for dignity, empowerment, food security and sustainable livelihoods in rural Uganda.
