Empower 100 Vulnerable Young Mothers with Vocational Skills and Livelihood Opportunities
In many communities across Uganda, young mothers face significant challenges, including poverty, unemployment, limited education, and lack of access to economic opportunities. Many struggle to provide for themselves and their children, leaving them vulnerable to long-term poverty and dependence.
Alpha Action for Social and Economic Development (AASED) is raising USD 20,000 to equip 100 vulnerable young mothers with practical vocational and business skills that will help them become self-reliant and build sustainable livelihoods.
Through this project, participants will receive training in:
• Tailoring and Garment Making
• Hairdressing and Beauty Therapy
• Soap and Detergent Production
• Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy
• Life Skills and Mentorship
The training will provide young mothers with practical skills, business knowledge, confidence, and mentorship needed to start and manage income-generating activities. Participants will also receive guidance on savings, financial management, customer care, and personal development.
Your donation will help provide training materials, equipment, facilitation, mentorship, and follow-up support to ensure that participants can successfully apply their new skills and improve the wellbeing of their families.
Together, we can help young mothers gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to support their children, strengthen their communities, and create brighter futures.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference.
