The Yass House is my personal rescue in Morocco, built from scratch with no NGO or government funding. What began as a short trip turned into eight years of full-time rescue work.

Today, nearly 100 rescued cats depend on me for food, shelter, and constant medical care. I have not taken a single day off since March 2019, and I have put all my dreams and aspirations aside so these cats could live.ย

Now, I urgently need help to keep going.

How You Can Help

โœˆ๏ธ Or travel to Morocco to adopt. Every adoption opens space to save another life.

Why I Need Your Help

For the first five years, I paid for everything myself, close to $200,000. I never imagined it would reach this scale, but when lives are at stake, you just keep going.

After years of paying everything alone, the financial strain has become unsustainable. Tens of thousands of dollars in veterinary and personal debts remain outstanding:

  • $8,800 (out of $60,649.15) still owed at the main vet and about $8,000 at the second clinic

  • $34,000 in personal loans taken to avoid lawsuits over unpaid vet bills

  • And now, I must vacate two rescue apartments because the owners are reclaiming them

To keep everyone safe, I need to rent a single, larger house where all cats can live under one roof. The minimum rent is at least around $4,000 per month, on top of ongoing treatments, food, litters, and daily vet costs among other expenses.

The Reality Behind The Scenes

I handle almost everything myself, including feeding, medicating, vet visits, organizing treatments, transporting cats daily, coordinating adoptions, and managing social media.ย

Only two part-time cleaners help.

I cannot hire extra help yet because my priority is to clear the debts that have been haunting me. After seven years going nonstop, my health has started to decline, but I keep going because the cats depend on me. I can't afford to rest, yet.

What Donations Cover

Every dollar you give goes directly toward:

  • ๐Ÿฉบ Daily medical care for sick and recovering cats

  • ๐Ÿ’‰ FIP bottles, surgeries, bloodwork, and vaccinations

  • ๐Ÿ  Rent for a safe home to shelter all cats together

  • ๐Ÿพ Food, litter, and essential supplies

  • ๐Ÿš‘ Daily vet transportation and emergencies

Why Adoptions Are Slow

The number of rescues keeps rising because reliable adopters in Morocco are rare.

Very few people are willing to travel all the way to Morocco to adopt, and that is the only safe way for cats to leave, since they cannot travel unaccompanied.

That is why I now run ads to reach compassionate people abroad who can travel to Morocco, adopt, and change a life forever.

If you can travel, you can be the reason a cat survives.
