Children in the Philippines who live in extreme poverty lack access to quality healthcare. They are often denied assistance and are unable to afford necessities to improve their quality of life.
Ariana is an adorable little girl who has been in our program since 2016. Everyone who meets her falls in love. Ariana is 10 years old and she has Down syndrome.
Her parents recently noticed Ariana has had trouble walking. Concerned, they took her to her doctor who ordered x-rays. They received some devastating news, Ariana has severe atlantoaxial instability (abnormal, excessive movement of the joint between the first two vertebrae in the spine). Without immediate surgery, Ariana will become paralyzed or even die.
This surgery is very expensive and her parents have no way to afford it on their own.
This is the most expensive surgery we have ever assisted with. But there is no way we could say no. Ariana is our princess.
Can you help us raise the funds needed for Ariana's extremely urgent surgery?
