Ellie is an adorable little Hereford calf.  She arrived at the Little Red Barn in the fall of 2020 as her owner knew she would be safe and well cared for in sanctuary.  Other Herefords like Ellie have ended up in petting farms, breeding programs and possibly even human consumption.   Immediately upon arrival, sweet Serenity adopted Ellie as her own calf and lovingly takes care of her and grooms her.  They are inseparable.  Ellie is a playful calf full of life and joy.  She loves to kick up her heels and follow Daisy and Serenity everywhere in the pasture. Her best friends are Missy and Dolly the sheep. Daisy and Serenity watch carefully over Ellie as she enjoys her forever freedom.
