Goal
Hi there!
I'm Elizabeth Cook, a lifelong educator and mother of 2 (Elliott, 4, Juliana,2) running for Monona Grove School Board. I am a school psychologist with over a decade of experience throughout Michigan and Wisconsin. I have also worked at the Department of Public Instruction (DPI), where I specifically focused on supporting schools and districts in creating and maintaining policies and practices to support student mental health.
Currently, I work for Alliance for a Healthier Generation as the Senior National Advisor of Social Emotional Health. In that role, I have created an assessment that schools and districts can use to promote resiliency and well-being for students and staff. I also develop and manage the professional development, resources and technical assistance available that helps make that assessment come alive within the school system.
I believe that strong schools and strong communities go hand-in-hand. I am deeply committed to creating change through listening, collaborating and doing the hard work necessary to ensure that all of our youth can learn, grow and thrive.
I would love to chat! Feel free to reach out to me via email at: ecookmgschoolboard@gmail.com
