Brazil, Mexico, and Ecuador are among the Latin American countries hit hardest by the COVID-19 pandemic. Children, young adults, parents: everyone is paying the price. There is no work, and therefore there seems to be no future. But among all the emergencies, the educational one stands out.
With this project, AVSI-USA will support three long-term partners. In Mexico, your donation will help Crecemos, who has been accompanying 350 families in Monte Albán, one of the poorest areas of Oaxaca, since the beginning of the pandemic, first distributing food and currently offering academic and recreational activities to children who are still out of school. In Ecuador, Fundación Sembrar will provide early childhood activities at their Ojos de Cielo center and support school-age children and adolescents with recreational activities, homework help programs, job orientation, and professional training. In Brazil, CREN will offer diagnosis, treatment, research, and teaching activities related to malnutrition in children and adolescents to vulnerable families in São Paulo.
Our goal is to reach 2,000 children with nutritious meals.
