EBIER SUTH COKRAN: A BEACON OF HOPE
We are Ebier Suth Cokran, an indigenous-led, community-owned enterprise in the rainforest of Ransiki, West Papua, Indonesia.
We are a Beacon of Hope, showing the power of collective action and resilience. Help us protect planet earth.
Our name says it all:
EBIER SUTH means “united to rise”
COKRAN stands for “chocolate from Ransiki”
This farm was once abandoned, leaving thousands of families without income. We have now risen together and are taking a unique approach.
We hold a 100-year lease over 2,000 hectares:
1,200 hectares are being restored using organic, regenerative cacao agroforestry —healing soil, restoring waterways, regenerating ecosystems, and supporting healthier communities by growing cacao without harmful chemicals
800 hectares are protected as a conservation zone, safeguarding birds-of-paradise, orchids, forest mammals, and Ransiki’s rich natural heritage.
Our people are often merely seen as workers seeking fair wages. We now hope the world can see us as leaders, innovators, and equal partners in a global sector where local people, land, and cultures are valued.
We nurture women and youth because they are the heart of our future, the ones who will carry this work forward.
JOIN US IN MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Now in our third year, Ebier Suth Cokran is growing fast —but to continue our work, we need your support.
We urgently need to raise USD 300,000 to:
Empower local talent to become the next generation of leaders
Enhance cacao processing and value addition right on the farm
Regenerate ecosystems and protect biodiversity across 2,000 hectares
Lead climate action through stewardship of our people
We already supply premium organic cacao from farm to global market, proving that regeneration, profitability, and respect for cultural and natural value go hand in hand.
Once profitable, all future earnings will go into the Ebier Suth Cokran's Green Investment Fund, enabling new businesses that honour nature’s value and uplift our people.
We, the people of West Papua, Indonesia, are not just farmers — we are stewards of one of the world’s greatest reservoirs of natural capital.
The way we build our economy will shape ecosystems, food systems and climate stability far beyond our region.
When you support us, you help protect a piece of Earth that protects all of us. Be part of our journey today.
