“Having taught for more than 25 years, I have never felt as fulfilled as I have in the last three years of my teaching journey… I am changed, and my students are too.”  - Africa Educator, supported through our Four Pillars program

This Giving Season, we invite you to help us bring calm and connection to classrooms around the world by raising $20,000 by December 31st 2025.  Your gift will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000 by a generous friend of The Contentment Foundation.

Every gift goes twice as far.

Educator wellbeing is one of the strongest predictors of student wellbeing and yet?  More than 70% of educators say they lack the wellbeing support they need.

Choosing to contribute to this year's 'Double The Contentment' means that you're not only supporting an educator somewhere in the world, but you're also supporting students in their care - and generations to come.

Your generosity will give educators the chance to learn mindfulness and emotional wellbeing practices that they’ll pass on to their students every single day: creating calmer classrooms, kinder schools, and more connected communities.

YOUR GIFTS WILL RIPPLE WORLDWIDE TO:

15 Certification Trainings

Serve 300+ Educators

30+ Community Sessions
Host 10 Leadership Circles

Provide 2 Educator Retreats

And support educator wellbeing across Africa, Bhutan and North America through certification, community, coaching and scholarships for educators who need it most.

This is the power of your gift: It begins with one educator’s calm and grows into a world where every child learns that they are safe, seen, and enough.

The Contentment Foundation has been reimagining what education can feel like since 2016, starting with the people who make it possible.

In 2025, we trained 975 educators which includes at least one participating teacher in more than 315 schools across 11 countries.

Over the years we've served 11,925 educators globally.

Every day, educators around the world carry so much: the hopes of their students, the weight of their classrooms, and the quiet exhaustion that comes from giving endlessly all while navigating their own personal needs. Many want to rest, to reconnect, to remember why they began teaching in the first place...but often, they simply can’t afford the support they need.

P.S!  If we raise $10,000 with your help, that will unlock a generous matching gift from an anonymous donor of $10,000.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: What is the 'Double The Contentment' Campaign?
This campaign funds scholarships for educators to access The Contentment Foundation’s Four Pillars of Wellbeing program. It starts as a year-long training, evolving into a lifelong journey that helps educators reconnect with themselves, learn tools for emotional resilience, and bring calm, compassion, and contentment into their classrooms.  By giving to the campaign, your impact is doubled:  not only does it serve educators but students in their care, too!

Q: Why focus on teachers?
Because we believe that teacher wellbeing is student wellbeing. When educators have the tools to rest and regulate, their students learn to do the same. We believe sustainable education starts from the inside out, by caring for the people who care for our children.  In a world where educators are overwhelmed, stressed or deciding to call it quits, our programs and training put them at the heart of what we do, giving them space to exhale, connect in community and lead with love (starting with themselves).

Q: What makes The Contentment Foundation different from other education or mental health nonprofits?
We don’t wait until crisis hits. Our approach is preventative and inside-out: teaching educators the skills of mindfulness, self-curiosity, community, and contentment before burnout takes over. Our work is both evidence-based and deeply human.

Q: Who created the Four Pillars of Wellbeing?
The program was founded by Dr. Daniel Cordaro, a former Yale researcher and educator who began this work after the tragedy at Sandy Hook. His question: “What if schools could be places of healing instead of harm?" still guides much of what we do.

Q: Where are educators located?

Our programs support educators in more than 10 countries, including the United States, Kenya, Bhutan, Singapore and more.
