Donnell's Day Raffle and ways to support:

There are multiple raffle prizes, and we will draw the winners during Donnell's Day. The prizes include gift cards to local businesses including a $50 gift card to Sophomore Coffee, a $30 gift card to Peabody Heights Brewery, a $100 gift certificate towards a tattoo with Geo (@ghostnests) at Fruit Camp tattoo, and more! Other prizes include justice4Donnell patches and stickers in baskets with their own individual prizes. Winners will be able to choose their prize basket in order of drawing!
Proceeds from the raffle go towards holding the third annual Donnell's Day, a celebration of Donnell's beautiful, vibrant life and all that he was. Donnell's Day is during Pride month and is a free, Black and LBTQ-centered event. There will be free music, food, Black, queer, and community centered resources, bouncy house and more.
We celebrate and honor Donnell who was killed by Baltimore City Police Officers Murray and Mauri on February 19, 2022. The officers shot Donnell multiple times while he was driving and let him bleed out on the street instead of taking him to a hospital. Donnell was only 18 years old and was a senior in high school. He was a loving, funny, ambitious young gay man and he should still be here. Donnell's life mattered. In his honor his mother throws Donnell's Day every year to celebrate Donnell's life and gather free, life-giving resources and fun for the larger community, focusing on LBTQ resources.
