Donate to Man Down UK CIC

Hello,

My name is Liv and I will be running the Eden project half marathon this October 15th (it is multi terrain and anyone who has run with me knows me knows I hate hills... aka running anywhere in Cornwall).

After the last half I did, I said I would never do it again, but Man Down is the exception to this and the only reason to get my running shoes back on.

Suicide has likely touched all of our lives at some point already; I was still in my teens when I first experienced the devastating effect suicide has, and sadly this story isn't as uncommon as it should be. I wish for a world where no one feels they have no other option, and no families have to go through what they do for loved ones they have lost.

In the UK alone, 82 men a week take their lives. With Cornwall as a county having the 3rd highest suicide rate in the country. The conversation around mental health needs to keep going. In men in particular, and I have seen first hand the work that Man Down do for Cornwall's community. 

Man Down have fortnightly meetings in 25 locations from the east to the west of Cornwall, and is run almost entirely by volunteers. This means every penny raised goes towards the men in Man Down's support groups.
