I was brought up in an era of Men not being able to, or know how to express themselves. Boys weren't meant to cry, they had to be big and tough.
After suffering with my own mental health on and off over the years and then losing 4 male friends through suicide, I wanted to do something to raise awareness.
Man Down Cornwall is a Cornwall based group offering a safe space to meet the current emotional and mental health needs of men who are struggling to cope with the everyday pressures facing them in our modern society.
Its a charity that relies solely on donations.
I wanted to bring a fun element to raising money for them, something that can bring all the men (and their partners, family or friends) together for a fun, enjoyable weekend.
