In memory of Jim Pollock

On the 1st of December 2022, my dad died by suicide after struggling with depression. I can’t begin to explain the loss and hurt we all feel right now. Anyone who knew my dad knew what a character he truly was and he’ll be remembered forever. 

I wish we knew about Man Down before and whilst I can’t help my dad anymore, there are other men who need the help he did. I’ve set up this fundraising page in memory of him. All donations go directly to the charity. 

I know times are hard but if you can donate anything to this charity, I’d be so grateful. If you can’t, that’s okay - please talk about the charity (or your own local mental health charities) and/or share this so people can find the help they need. 

About Man Down

Man Down Cornwall has two Aims:

• To reduce the number of male suicides in Cornwall
• To break the Stigma around Men’s Mental Health 

We achieve this through informal, friendly peer support group meetings at several locations around Cornwall.

Your donations help us continue to support all our members by rolling out more venues across Cornwall and thereby helping more men to “talk about it”.
