Thank you from the WEDI staff and our clients for all you do to support our mission to strengthen communities through a continuum of educational and financial resources, removing systemic barriers to economic equity for all Western New Yorkers. Together, we can work to create a more equitable Buffalo.
With generous supporters like you, WEDI was able to accomplish the following in 2023:
- 100% of WEDI students in our ENERGY, FLY, and Launch programs increased their literacy levels and proceeded to the next grade level or graduated.
- Exceeded our target goal of $195,000 in microloan disbursement to underserved and underbanked small business owners.
- Opened both the Downtown Bazaar and the West Side Bazaar to incubate 11 restaurants, retail space, food retail space, a mental health office, and space for events and pop-up markets.
