I bought an FN Hi-Power. It’s from around 1955-56. It was Austrian police issue with holster. It’s not a super clean. I want to get it modified and carry it. Should I not because it might be collectable? I could sell it and buy a newer hi-power as I’m not a collector.

Hi Chris and Heather, hope everything is well. So last weekend, I walked into a gunstore intent on buying an AR15...and walked out with a Henry Lever Action Big Boy in .357 Magnum. I did it because the cheapest AR they had was an FN Basic AR15 for over a thousand bucks. And my Lever Rifle was nearly 200 dollars cheaper. Anyway. Is the FN Basic Ar15 really worth it? Because according to what I've read online...you're better off with Ruger or Smith and Wesson for such a basic rifle for hundreds of dollars less.
And yes I am a red blooded man from Utah, I'd be dishonoring my American Heritage to NOT have lever action rifle. HAHA Happy Independence Day.

Any thoughts on the BCG’s offered by Forward Control Design?

I’m buying another 7.62x51 semi auto rifle. Out of these 3 what do you think is the best and why(price doesn’t matter to me)? Scar 17, LMT MOK MARS-H, or H&K MR762?

Thank you for all that you do. I saw your Glock 17M video over weekend and you mentioned you carry the Federal HST 9mm in the G45. What grain HST do you carry and what are you thoughts on standard pressure vs. +P? thank

Just have a couple questions to submit.
First Question:
Besides Mark Westrom of ArmaLite (in the 90’s) and more recently Brownells that made an “attempt” to bring back the original AR-10 of the 50’s design. Did Reed Knight of KAC, ever considered bringing back the original design that closely resembles the original prototype, since he has most (if not all) of Stoner’s rifles in his personal collection?
Second Question:
Besides OTIS Technology that tried to utilize Richard Swan’s barrel nut mounting method for a handguard rail; i.e. their FRAK (Forward Rail Assembly Kit), were there other companies that utilized that ARMS Inc. method of installation?

Hi Chris, you have mentioned you noticed boresnakes scratch a barrel. What company made the boresnake? I am 99% sure the hoppes boresnake bristles are made of brass, they look just like the otis brushes when you remove them from the snake and the bristles are non-magnetic. This has kind of caused me paranoia about having damaged my barrels as I have used the snakes for years. I did not notice any scratching or corrosion when looking with a borescope. I have switched to the otis kit but I still am concerned that, according to you, some damage could have occured. Thanks

About the Taiwanese T91 Rifle since it’s a short stroke external-piston system did the weapon ever had an issue of the cam-pin on the bolt gouge into the upper receiver, or the carrier scrape against the buffer tube? - Or did the manufacturers developed a method of addressing those issues that other modern external-piston ARs have had to deal with?

Keep up the good work brother!! I hope this small token of my appreciation helps. The Sig 516 looks very nice. Quite an improvement over their first stab with the model 556. I bet you’ll get suggestions to do a review/comparison to the old 556 sometime.

Happy Birthday Chris! My question is about quality low profile folding iron sights. Would you give me your opinion on to best sights to get for my AR15 build, 18” barrel. I want something that will stand up to some abuse. And what would you think about going with a fixed front and folding rear like a Daniel defense fixed front with a UTG folding rear. Thanks
Taylor
I know your not big on the S&W M&P’s but since the failure of the HMS handgun program is the M&P Line especially the 2.0 series plus other handguns the army tested during the HMS failure could they be better than the army presented to the public, the M&P 2.0 is glorified by many shooters, instructors, and content creators like MrGunsNGear, James Yeager who says there extremely reliable and durable highly recommended, just curious bc your the only one I’ve seen so far not to recommend them I know the 1.0 had some issues but the 2.0 seams to be excellent and fixed any issues they had what are your thoughts on it, would you test the M&P 2.0 to see if it’s good or bad? Love the excellent content keep up the awesome work!

Just have a couple questions to submit.
Since Eugene Stoner designed the AR-16 in .308 and then it was scaled it down to the AR-18 in .223, with the short-stroke external-piston system, did he receive any royalties for his design for being carried on to many other rifle designs in the industry?
- It goes back to the system being the “The Most Successful Failure,” due to the mechanism used by various companies.
Second Question:
Relating back to the Colt CK-901 rifle (in 7.62x39), that was sent to the Yemenis military. Are those rifles still routinely being maintained or fixed by Colt armorers, or does Colt still sent over spare parts for those exact guns?
