On an AR-15 build, If I’m using a C7 upper with a F marked front sight base, do I need the longer front sight post or will the regular front sight post work? I know the extended front sight post is needed when using the detachable carry handle with the normal front sight base, just not sure about this backwards configuration. Can we have a brief conversation on .380? I understand it's a step down from 9mm but how significant is it.. To quote Clint Smith " I wouldn't carry a .380 is my ass if I had the room for a tug boat." I feel this is a bit of an exaggeration but I'd like to hear your justification for carrying a G42 over a G43.

Why doesn’t LMT make chrome bolt carriers for 5.56 (direct impingement) like they do for 308? Likewise, why do they still include a forward assist on their 5.56 uppers when they don’t for their 308 uppers? Thanks!
