When would it make sense to choose 45 ACP for a tactical/combat pistol instead of 9mm or 40 S&W?

If firing a mil spec semi-auto AR-15 at a sustained rate of 60 rounds per minute, what would be the first thing to fail and how many rounds would it take for that failure to occur?

There are some Glock 17 and 19 pistols that have a higher amount of sheared metal primer material in the striker channel, compared to similar Glock pistols that are using the same ammunition. The primer shear marks are different, compared to the other pistols that do not experience the same problem. These same pistols are piercing primers and gas eroding the nose of the striker. The strikers are replaced, only to have the same pierced primers, gas erosion, and primer shear symptoms. What should be checked to find the root cause of the odd primer shear marks and other symptoms?

The Smith & Wesson M&P 10 Chris recently reviewed had a factory firing pin spring installed. Is that design a just a standard AR-10 firing pin with a spring added? Are there any other manufacturers using that simple type of firing pin spring on their AR-10 and AR-15 firing pin?
Kevin | $15.89
Does the NIJ Standard 0112.03 "Autoloading Pistols for Police Officers" help or hurt modern pistol designs? The obsolete standard seems to get in the way of designing pistols that are ergonomic and properly designed. It seems like the NIJ standard sets the industry back a few decades and prevents progress and makes for some pretty awful pistol designs, especially for women.

Here's a link to the buffer system I mentioned earlier: https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1003373611
Rubber portion is under spring tension. Face of buffer has a hole for a weight that allows movement of the weight into the rear of the BCG.
Also, I've seen a lot of variation in finish of old PWA receivers. Earlier ones look like paint, later serial numbers appear like a plastic-like anodizing. What's the deal here? (We have a lot of PWA lowers from the 80's)

What do you think of the build quality of the Bula M21 you mentioned earlier? I have heard good things and think they might be the only M14 maker who makes new parts

Just have a couple questions regarding AR rifles chambered in 7.62x39.
If LMT did develop a complete rifle chambered in 7.62x39, would they be better off scaling down their AR-10 (LMT 308 MWS), to accommodate that particular cartridge along with taking AKM magazines? - Something that’s comparable to the Colt CK-901.

Do you have any thoughts on the Black Hills .223 75 Grain Match HP? I managed to get a few hundred rounds of the 77 grain OTM, but even more of the .223.Thanks!

Does a 110 grain 6.8 bullet and a 110 grain 30 cal bullet take the same amount of time to get down the barrel? In other words, is dwell time impacted by caliber and weight or just weight?

Your review of the LWRCI DI was truly professional and insightful. I learned so much about the AR-15 platform in general and the LWRCI DI specifically. I must have watched it 10X. Ended up buying one last month and glad I did. Next stop is the LWRCI gas piston A5 big brother which you also did a great review on.

Is it worth buying two suppressors (for 9mm & .45) vs only larger one for use on both? Would it be worth the loss in dB reduction when used with 9mm?
Joey | $5.50
Why do some say 40 S&W does not suppress well? Is there any advantage to suppressing 45 over 40?
Joey | $5.50
Sorry you are not feeling well Heather but maybe a funny story will give you a laugh. I got some G96 solvent and gun treatment yesterday on Chris' recommendation. I thought I remembered you saying G96 smelled nice so I took a huge, "mama's fresh apple pie" whiff of it. Either it's an acquired taste or you were talking about the gun treatment, because the solvent smelled like a mixture of battery acid and death. Besides almost throwing up on the spot, I haven't been able to smell or taste anything since. YOLO. The moral of the story is, make sure to keep G96 solvent out of reach of children and idiots.

Hello from Guam! Unfortunately, superchat is not available in my region so I have to use donorbox instead.
I've been wanting a Colt 605 and was curious on your opinion of them and their reliability in regards to the full length gas system with the carbine length barrel? I'm thinking of getting a BRN 605 in particular.
Keep up the great content. I'm a big fan of your Crime series in particular

Why is there a 15.50 inch rifle length gas tube for some AR-10 platforms and other AR-10’s use a standard 15.125 inch rifle length gas tube?
