Back to the live round being ejected, Do the scratches on the bullet itself cause any issues to reload In the magazine or could it effect accuracy in anyway? Anything to worry about???

What causes the scratches on a live 5.56 round when you eject it? Is it the feed lips/ barrel extension or the extractor scraping while pulling out of chamber? J. Herbert

Hello Chris and Heather, Hope all is good with you guys. I have two questions. First one is Are the barrels on the LWRC rifles MP inspected. Second question can you use an LWRC Bolt and BCG in other AR15 rifles. Thank You.

Chris are you familiar with the Duramag magazine by C products, if so, what do you think about them and would you give your opinion on the best steel or aluminum AR15 magazine out there now. Thanks Heather and Chris for all your hard work.

About the “Lobster-tail” like extractors that LMT produces for both of their 5.56 and 6.8 enhanced bolts, does LMT also do the same for their extractors on the .308 enhanced bolts?

I have ordered two 20 inch M16 A1 pencil barrels from AK Builder to finish two Brownells retro builds, as Big B is out of stock on their A1 barrels. They are chrome lined with just the barrel extension and no gas port drilled. Can you please tell me the correct size hole to drill for a rifle length gas system and describe how you would measure and mark the gas port location. I love your channel and have become a Patreon supporter. P. S. Heather is Awesome. Thank you Jim in KY

Can civilians purchase the M118LR "AB39" PIP (Product Improvement Program) round, that was developed to enhance the current M118LR ammunition? – Made to have better lot to lot uniformity, better temperature stability, and improved flash reduction. Also does Black Hill Ammunition sell their own version of that particular cartridge to the commercial market as well? - Since they help to developed/spear-head the program when approached by the Army.

What’s your favorite combat rifle optic? I gave in and just bought a Trijicon MRO HD, I’m too cheap for the Acog right now.

How far do you think the gun control lobby in the next administration will go and what can be done to stop them?

What buffer size would you suggest for a 10.3inch 5.56 that will be suppressed? BTW thank you for all you do.

Hi from Kansas City. I'm exploring ways to reduce the felt recoil of the SCAR 17. A stripped 17 bolt carrier weighs 22oz. Complete BCG with charging handle weighs 25.1oz. Titanium is approximately 45% lighter than steel, so a Ti BC would save around 9.9oz. of reciprocating weight. Any thoughts on this idea for less recoil and faster followup shots? Note: this would be for competition, not battle.

I keep missing the live chats! I have an AR 10.5 pistol build in 300 Blackout that is ejecting at 5 o'clock with Sig Sauer 125 grain ammo and bouncing off the ejection deflector (and denting the mouth of the casing). The build has a 4.3 ounce Kaw Valley buffer with a JP Enterprises polished centerless buffer spring. It's been 100% reliable, but I would rather have a 4 o'clock ejection pattern. Any suggestions on how to make it so? Your thoughts on the Strike Industries flat wire buffer springs would also be appreciated. Love the channel! Mark G

Hello. After receiving email from Heather. I pretty sure it is worth it :) Best Regards from Poland and the question is: I want to buy 11-12 inch barrel ar15 (we don't have sbr laws, if it shoots intermediate caliber it is carbine, no matter barrel lenght, to be precise for police guns are center fire or rimfire or smoothbore. You can have rifled 12Ga but only for hunting - gun permits are divide by the reason to have gun... different story, don't want to waste Your time, Sir). I have two models in mind: 1. PSW MK111 Mode2M 1:8 twist wylde chamber 2. LMT MARS-L12 PS 1:7 twist It is very difficult to find 62gr ammo. So the question is. Which one of these two rifles is better for 55gr ammo. Theoretically PWS with 1:8 twist and wylde chamber is better for 55gr, but maybe it is not a factor under 200m? We have short ranges here and besides shooting over 200m with 12 inch barrel is not good idea anyway.

Does a loose fit affect functionality on an AR?

Many manufacturers, (and most frustratingly) even high end manufactures are over-gassing their barrels...sometimes horribly. Those of us using full power 5.56 ammo/suppressed and unsuppressed/short barrels etc., are left to our own device in trying to find a good balance with buffer and spring weights. It would be greatly appreciated if you could give us a baseline parameter for testing different spring/buffer setups for optimal reliability. In other words, if I wanted to replicate what the military did in choosing the 0.070 gas port size for their MK18s. I've heard this was chosen as the best reliability compromise for both suppressed and unsuppressed. I would like to do this with my upcoming 12.5" build. Did the military test in a specific atmosphere? IE. 0* degree weather, super dirty weapon, etc.. Thank you! I wish you and your family a Happy and Healthy New Year
