Bird School Project is empowering the next generation of environmental change-makers, through impactful grassroots outdoor education!

Help us keep inspiring student & teachers to spread their wings in nature through our schoolyard visits, field internships, and teacher professional learning programs!

Students are still dealing with unprecedented circumstances and disruptions in their education. The Bird School Project has been steadily working with district and county leaders all throughout the pandemic to bring students high quality outdoor science education and resources. We are on track to connect over 10,000 students to the outside world in their backyard during the 2021-2022 school year.

Your donation goes directly toward ensuring that adolescent youth have access to guided nature studies as part of their science classes. We help adolescent youth make direct observations of birds in their schoolyard and neighborhoods, raising their awareness of the environment, building their understanding of life science practices, and most importantly, giving them a chance to relax and connect to nature.

Donations also increase our capacity to host empowering field internships for high school students and extend our annual outdoor professional learning series to new cohorts of teachers.
