Thousands of photos are taken each month by camera traps in nature parks. These photos are highly effective in capturing endangered species and measuring biodiversity. However, it takes many hours for rangers and biologists to review all the photos manually. The CAIMAN solution from Sensing Clues can automatically detect which animal is in the photo and count how many animals of each species are in the picture.
We aim to raise at least 1000 euros on Giving Tuesday (November 30th 2021) to run the first trial of our CAIMAN solution with a partner in Southern Africa.
