Help Make Automation Accessible For All
Accessible Automation Inc. (AAI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit organization, is dedicated to bridging the STEM skills gap by providing industry aligned training in automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing. We believe that automation should democratize opportunity, not restrict it. Through mentorship, hands-on learning, and a forward-thinking curriculum, we empower the next generation to transform challenges into opportunities, ensuring they are not just prepared for the future, but are poised to become leaders in the space.
Your donation supports the Discovering Automation Youth Program (DAYP)—a hands-on STEM initiative that gives students 40 weeks of real-world experience with industrial robotics, machine vision, and other technologies used in today’s advanced manufacturing careers. DAYP removes barriers to participation by combining practical programming, real industrial equipment, and cloud-based access to professional automation software, ensuring that motivated students can learn regardless of economic or technical background.
Why This Matters
We realize that early exposure is critical to future industry participation. While advanced manufacturing and automation careers are rapidly growing, most students are never effectively introduced to the space, robbing them and the industry of untapped potential.
Without early exposure:
Students miss out on high-demand technical career pathways
Workforce skills gaps continue to grow
Local and national manufacturing is negatively impacted
DAYP addresses these concerns by giving students early, hands-on experience with real automation systems—guided by industry professionals.
What Your Donation Supports
Funds are allocated where they are needed to maximize student impact, instructional quality, and long-term program sustainability. Your contribution directly funds three essential pillars of the Discovering Automation Youth Program:
🎓 Cost-Free Participation
Scholarship funding helps reduce or eliminate tuition costs so students from under-resourced communities can fully participate in DAYP. Scholarships ensure equitable access to instruction, lab time, and mentorship.
🤖 Integrated Robot Workcells
Donations support industrial robot workcells, including Epson industrial robots, safety enclosures, conveyors, and machine vision systems. This allows students to train on the same equipment used in modern manufacturing environments.
☁️ Cloud-Based Automation Lab Workstations
Funding will enable secure, cloud-based workstations that give students remote access to commonly licensed professional automation simulation and 3D modleing software—eliminating the need for high-performance personal computers and extending learning beyond the classroom.
Who We Serve
Middle and high school students (ages 12–18)
Students with limited access to advanced STEM resources
Youth curious about engineering, robotics, and technology
No prior experience is required—students learn by doing, collaborating, and solving real-world challenges together.
Student Outcomes & Workforce Impact
Through DAYP, students:
Are introduced to the world of industrial automation through hands-on application engineering
Develop machine vision competencies, including lighting, optics, image acquisition, inspection, and vision-guided automation concepts
Work in team-based lab environments, applying structured problem-solving, debugging, and systems-thinking skills used in modern manufacturing
Gain early, authentic exposure to automation and engineering careers, interacting with the same technologies found on today’s factory floors
DAYP strengthens the future automation workforce pipeline by equipping students with foundational, industry-relevant technical skills that prepare them for advanced STEM coursework, CTE pathways, and high-demand careers in robotics, automation, and advanced manufacturing.
